An unconventional weekend on the Argentine circuit
2 April 2022A great start for the Snipers in America
8 April 2022
Río Hondo - Argentina, 3 April - After a complicated Saturday, it was difficult to imagine such a performance in this race. The great work of the whole Snipers Team made it possible to put on the track an ultra competitive bike driven by Andrea Migno in a masterly way. The number 16 manages to reach the leading positions in few laps and manages the race times perfectly.
Unfortunately, when everything seems to be going well, when even the tire strategy seems to be able to pay off in the final sprint, a race accident involved the rider from Cattolica who was forced to retire.
When everything seems uphill and thanks to the work you can recover so much, the disappointment for the lack of victory is even greater, we cannot hide it.
But it is equally necessary to highlight the work of the guys on the team who, despite the difficulties in the free practices, despite the tight times of an anomalous weekend, managed to find a practically perfect balance of a bike that was consistently fast lap after lap.
Difficult race also for Alberto Surra who was unable to find the right pace on this track since Saturday. He crosses the finish line 20th.
We want to redeem ourselves as quickly as possible, and luckily we can do it again next week in Austin, in the Texas GP.
Mirko Cecchini - Team Owner: “After some troubled tests we had found the solution, everything was going very well, Andrea felt in good shape, the race was going in the best of prospects but unfortunately the bad luck always gets in the way. Race contacts can happen, the fault of one or the other in the end it is not clear. The most important thing is that we were very fast and competitive and we need to be focused for the next race."
